Hello Raptor Bros,

So the new RR cal tune says it can’t adjust tire size. Has anyone installed the tune on their RR with a tire size other than the factory 33” or know if it’s possible and how a non factory size tire would effect the tune? I’m running 34” KO3s (305/70R17).

OR does anyone know if other respected performance companies plan to release a similar tune that would enable tire adjustment, and if so estimated eta of release?

Tire size and the tune are completely separate. What you are reading is that the TUNER can not adjust the tire size. You can go ahead and install the tune, it doesnt care what tire size you are running. The point of adjusting the tire size is more so for the speedometer to register correctly your speed.

I was told by ford performance you can put larger tires on but you will not be able to adjust the truck for the larger tire so mpg and mph and other stuff will all be off and you will just have to live with it.

You can edit your tire size for instrument calculations (speedo and odometer) in FORScan in the BCM module. I believe the field you edit is for the overall circumference in mm.

Do you have a link where to purchase the Forscan?

Ford Performance says that the tire adjustment doesn't work for the Ranger Raptor, but the option is there in the Procal, and I made adjustments on mine, uploaded, and everything works perfectly. Not sure why FP says it can't be done. The Procal needs the data in the revs-per-mile format.

You can edit in the BCM up to a certain differential, but beyond that it won't accept the changes. In my case, I went to a 35" tire, and the BCM wouldn't allow a parameter upload beyond about a 34" tire, so the speedometer was still off until I tried the Procal modification. Unlike the Procal, the BCM parameter in Forscan is tire circumference in millimeters.

I remember reading that you ran into that limit in another thread. Good info on being able to surpass the limit via the ProCal. I'm likely going 35s myself come springtime.

On a side note, did the 34" KO3's fit without removing crash bars or rubbing?

Crash bars were removed when I switched out the front bumper prior to the 34” KO3s, but I assume they def would need to be removed with the factory bumper and 34” KO3s (I attached a couple photos). As shown I don’t have any issues (factory raptor suspension, no spacers, no lift, just 305/285R17 KO3 on 17” black Rhinos that have 0 offset (vs the factory RR wheels that had +55). I don’t have any rubbing or grinding issues and have have full wheel turn.

Yeah… couldn’t help myself lol, I’ve been a lifelong Tacoma driver until this Ranger Raptor, and just wanted a bit more aggressive look to match how this lil monster drives:)
Thanks for the response, appreciated.???
