This is awful, and I hope Ford makes it right with you along with what others have said. My one question I have for you is - how did you manage to pay around $60,000 for a XLT? Just curious more than anything.
It was a generalization vehicles average pricing is 60,000

I hear so many stories of owners having to deal with this, it is so messed up that they don't even inform clients. This is why is so important and imperative not to sign, accept or agree to anything until the vehicle is checked, inspected and even test driven by the prospective owner and once there is total satisfaction then sign and accept. But if problems are found, it is easier to demand action and they will be more motivated to repair what's wrong. I hope you get your ride fixed to your satisfaction.
Thank you I hope so too.

Mine is close to $50K right now and I haven't added in sales tax and whatever fees the dealer will add on. By the time I get my window tint, all my accessories that I want and my topper I expect to be at or over 60K. My sales tax alone will be over $4K. So yeah almost $60K for a loaded XLT with extras is in the ball park for sure.

Ah, got it. I was talking about before mods after the truck purchase. But I see what you are saying. Nothing is cheap these days.

Please keep us informed and best wishes for getting this resolved to your satisfaction.
UPDATE

So spoke with ford certified body shop. They have called ford several times to get authorized approval to fix damage. Ford passes them to multiple departments and no resolution. Spoke with dealership and asked for them to get in touch with regional representative no response.. spoke with ford customer service opened case# said they were sorry 100 times no resolution. The pattern is clear that customers are not important to ford motor company. I also have noticed here on the platform that the ford motor company has not chimed in in regards my specific post. This speaks volumes. To all of you out there be careful and be your own advocate i hope no issues occur with your purchase.

So you are chasing your tail when the dealership should be doing the heavy lifting and getting this taken care of for you even under their insurance and then bill Ford. Unbelievable how this got through their dealer prep and detailer. Can you return or exchange the truck under State law? Your State AG consumer fraud division might get involved given you were sold damaged goods and the runaround you are getting. Some local TV stations have watchdog reporters who help consumers. Ford has enough problems without bad media publicity. I hope you get this resolved soon. What a nightmare.

The Ford spam reps on here haven't been active for 8+ months and it's not like they can do anything anyways. They were never ever useful.

UPDATE Ford approved body shop repaint on specific panels that need repairs. AG office useless Ford customer service useless. Truck is gone for a month and a half. Most likely will sell this vehicle at auction myself and get a used 2011 Ranger or Tacoma. Done with new vehicles

Very sorry for what you are going through. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thank you appreciate that. Quality is no longer available in the American Automotive industry. That's a fact. Unfortunately I feel like it will get worse Alexa will build a vehicle ( sarcasm)and AI will take over completely

It was a very tough decision for me to sell my pristine 2002 diesel F350 and order a new Ford Ranger and I'm still having doubts. But the F-350 was just too big for us anymore and it just sat in the garage not even seeing 800 miles in a year. Sold that and my VW TDI with the idea that the Ranger will replace both.

I've never bought new and I've always done all my own work over the years but getting older now so I'll most likely just keep a warranty on this one and let the dealership take care of it. Or maybe trade it in when the factory warranty runs out. It's going to be a completely new thing for me to own a new vehicle and be dependent on the dealership.

Same boat. The F150 is awesome and pristine but too big anymore. Trying to get a Ranger with the packages I want but none are local. Depending on dealer trade before they are gone.

Now you went through all that to get it fixed you might as well give the truck a chance. They are fun when not in the garage and hopefully that is your first and last issue!
