Anunusual question. 2025 ranger XL.
My truck will be sitting out in the open most of the time. I will be building a overhead shelter later.
I live in the woods, I have for many years. I have had issues with rodents chewing underhood wiring on 1 vehicle
My 93 f150 Ive hsad for over 20 yrs. They have never bothered other vehicles. It would be a nightmare if they got into my ranger wiring. Raising the hood, maze of wiring and plumbing . Any suggestions? I know toyota has had similar issues, they use vegetables of some sort included in the wiring insulatilon. Not very smart, its green. But chow time for rodents? Rodents havent bothered my 12 yr old camry or other vehicles. I have owned.
Get an outdoor cat. I don't like cats, but outside, they are uber good pest control! Hunter killers, merciless against pests of all types, rabbits, mice, rats etc.

I had Hondas and Toyotas that mice loved. I tried Irish spring soap bars. The mice actually chewed on them! I found mint spray that seems to work( Mighty Mint). I spray that shit on everything!:sunglasses:

Cats are great during there normal waking hours. Oakland has feral cats everywhere. Plus I have two cats that go outside in the yard all the time...usually when rodents appear, cats are asleep anyways so not a big help in this specific issue.
