So California to Oregon and back. Straight up I5 and over the siskiyous, in and around Portland, out to the Oregon coast and back.

averaged 23.9 mpg and almost 2 mpg better coming back through California. I was about 200 lbs lighter coming back but still full of stuff in the bed and back, seat.

got better gas mileage in Oregon, a little slower pace in that state. I5, especially in the Central Valley can resemble the autobahn at times.

truck seems to be getting better gas mileage now.

I also learned that the adaptive cruise control has a lead foot, which is typical, and better to bring it back up to speed manually.

dang truck climbs like a mountain goat which was really handy on the passing lanes in the Oregon coast and coastal ranges.

some long days in the seats and they were pretty comfy, love those heated seats and even the heated steering wheel.

i think the vision and mirrors are very good. I love that 360 camera for maneuvering around tight spots and lining up parking spots.

First trip in the rain and dark, early morning and pretty happy with the headlights, traction and even those rain sensing wipers.

no off roading but some of the roads i was on were pretty beat up. Just rolled on through everything.

so really stoked about this truck.

Which engine do you have?

I just did a 545mi trip from Wasilla to Valdez, AK and back. The Glennallen Hwy is built over muskeg and volcanic rock. Parts of the highway shift throughout the year and make the road very rough. I put the FX4 suspension through the wringer a few times, even got a little airborne. Never bottomed out or lost control. I like the ACC and use it all the time, but you’re right that it can be a little jolting if you don’t plan for it. I’ve learned how to ease the transitions. Overall, I could drive this truck across the country.

I’m headed to Oregon on Friday, but from Texas. Definitely excited to see how this little truck does.

East TX to Bend, then on to Junction City, and then back to East TX

are you going up to 20 and then crossing texas to 10, or going straight to houston and 10?

10 is soooo boring and long across texas once you pass san antonio. i feel like a whole day is gone just getting through texas.

when we went to san francisco, a few years back, we took 10 and went north in new mexico through the mountains and silver city to go to the grand canyon, and than jumped on route 66 to death valley and vegas before turning north. it was a very scenic cool drive.

Cutting across back roads to Lubbock, Albuquerque, NW to Moab, SLC, Boise, then over. Made that trip a few times the other way. It’s all fairly boring!
