ROAD TRIP! SE Texas to Redmond OR!

Hey guys!

Embarking on a little bit of a road trip tomorrow afternoon! (Long story but I have to drive) I want to post a bit of a trip report (truck blog) if you will of how this truck performs over the different areas and overall trip.

2024 Ford Ranger Raptor - 28k miles
It's been somewhat leveled on 35's
Speedo has been corrected so MPG's will be very close.

Packed up with a few small things, a motorcycle hitch carrier and a Dometic in the bed full of crispy caffeine. Oh and a few bottles of water and snacks. The return trip will have a little more weight. Bringing back a little pit bike in the bed, and a Kawasaki KLX250 on the carrier. Plus, whatever else I can fit of my son's stuff. (I gained custody of him). It will be an awesome father/son trip, but somewhat in a hurry because work...

Google says 4,711 miles from Home back to Home.

I just did a 3000 mile trip from Houston to Myrtle Beach and back my Ranger averaged just under 19 miles to the gallon, it was a very good and smooth ride. Love the truck!

Good luck and have fun, I get 18 to 19 mpgs on stock tires at 60-65 mph on back roads, the mileage killers are constant strong head winds and 75+ mph.

The RR is a fantastic road tripper.

Day 1 in the books! Had to work part of the day so didn’t leave early.

445 miles in. Lubbock

Avg 17.0 mpg - Speeds varied but no issues. Last two hours was between 75 and 77 mph.

Not a bad little road trip truck so far!

Day 2!

Lubbock TX - Tremonton UT 986 miles

18.5 mpg average. Lots of 80+ getting thru SLC. I don’t miss that place.

I skipped a few. Zero issues.

Left Redmond OR and went to Medford and South. Cut through past Shasta towards Reno. 395 into the Alabama Hills and Death Valley. Vegas then Overnight in Kingman. Gonna pull a long day and be home tonight. 1300 mile day 🥱

I drive 85 to 92 (highest my Comma AI will self drive) and my mileage is about 13, on 35s. I just went on a road trip and had my aunt following in another car, so I was only doing 75 to 80 (which honestly was painful as hell) and I got 14.5.

Huge difference speed makes on MGP. And yeah, so easy to put miles. I got mine last January and already have 17K miles.

Made it home about 4:30a cst today. What a week. I'll post up some photos soon. I am very pleased with this little truck! Oil change again tomorrow
