Not sure if this has been covered already, but I figured I’d take one for the team and test it out.

Since 33s are such a popular tire size on these trucks, I wasn’t sure whether a 33” tire on the factory wheel would fit in the stock spare tire location. Happy to report that it fits perfectly. There’s still clearance from the exhaust, tow hook, and wiring harness, with no issues at all.

Hopefully this helps anyone else wondering if they can keep a full-size 33” spare in the factory location.

Why wouldnt it? The stock RR has 33s. the 2.7t and 2.3t has a single exhaust, less crowded. I dont know why it WOULDNT fit. but thanks for proving a 33" spare will fit.

If anything, the there should be the most room under the 2.3L, followed secondly by the 2.7L compared to the RR. The Raptor has a much beefier rear axle, floating 4-link trailing arms and a watts-link under the skirt in addition to the dual exhaust, don't forget the coil overs with remote reservoirs! There's a lot of crap under there lol. Now the wheel wells....I'll give a nod to the Raptor on fitting larger tire sizes, but not so much for the spare, but some people have reported fitting up to 315's under there with a little conjiggering.
