Identical spare wheel and tire winch

Has anyone replaced the spare tire with an identical wheel/rim and confirmed it can still work with the spare tire winch? I'm close to pulling the trigger on it but I want to make sure it can stay down there and not in the truck bed, since on long trips that's packed full.

I’d like to know that too. I don’t see any reason it wouldn‘t work.

I installed 5 Method 708’s with 315/70R17 BFG KO2’s on my 2024 RR and they fit fine in the stock location. It’s snug, but it fits. The truck also recognizes all 5 TPMS so I can do a 5 tire rotation.

how does that work, does the truck automatically detect the TPMS sensor when the tires are rotated or do you have to reset?

It does, provided you have the correct frequency. I've rotated tires twice now and it picks up the correct sensor.

I got my TPMS from one of the TPMS sites online, TPMS dot com I believe.

I bought the wheels and tires from Americas tire and they chose the TPMS for me, but yes the truck knows the proximity of each sensor somehow.
I have confirmed it several times when airing down/up when off road.

I bought an identical tire + rim for my lariat and can confirm it does fit on the spare winch. The middle hole is a bit smaller than the doughnut spare so you have to do some fiddling to get it through fully, but it will work without any cutting.
