The convenience package was standard on my 24 XLT High, but I've never had a use for them. Those things can easily be added, and better options are available aftermarket. 400 watts isn't a lot, and you can't use inductive devices on them, like anything with motors.
The sound in the 24 is much better than my '21, especially when streaming HD music on Pandora. IMO adding a subwoofer would boost the quality up to the B&O system.
IMO, get the 2.7, you won't regret it.

The inverter, at least on my truck, is under the drivers seat. The outlets are one behind the center console and one in the bed.

Looking at it, I don't think it would be such a big deal to upgrade it. However, Ford already indicates in the manual that output could be limited when in gear to 300 watts, so there may not be much extra power from the alternator.

I added a USB-A and C charging port in the bed in addition to the 120V existing outlet. Even though ford removed the 12V outlet in the bed for 2025, they still ran the 12V to the back connector that feeds the bed outlet. So it can be added after the fact.

And I will go out on a limb and say, even the new 2025s without the convenience package have that wiring. And you could add in 120V afterwards.

What I am seeing now, is a lot of things charge with USB-C. Like in my case, I have a small sprayer that I use to clean up after going to the beach and it charges while I drive. And I am probably going to get a small air pump that will be USB-C recharged.

The nice thing about AC outlets is you can plug in chargers and while 400 watts doesn't should like a lot, it is a lot for charging things and very convenient.

But again, the inverter is only active only when the engine is running.

The AMP is behind the rear seat driver side.

The Convenience package is not common at many dealers. Many trucks come without it to keep cost lower. You can ask the dealer to check other dealers or order one with the package.

The LED bed lighting helps at night. It lights the full bed. It is useful if you load or work in the bed often.

The B&O audio has more clear sound than the standard audio. The standard audio is fine for normal use. If you listen to music often, you may notice the difference.

When you look at the trucks, ask for the vehicle inspection report. It will show service info and any past work done.

If you want the power outlets and bed lighting, it is better to ask for the Convenience package when you order.

Tech pkg on XLT is also difficult to find as well, and that is the only way to get the 360 suround view camera system on an XLT. Which is Standard on Lariat. That plus the push button start. Are the main reasons I went with Lariats for my business trucks. I normally buy XLT in F150, which those F150s you can spec both those features in XLT.

‘’With Ranger I really think the Lariat is probably worth the extra 3-4K over the XLT.

I did not realize the bed plug would not power any motor driven tools.
I was thinking of adding an extra battery. That's pricey for some setup's. $1800 coming from AU. I decide to just get a more useful power pack. Can use it for power failures in residents. Then on camping trips I can charge it with the rear bed plug. Although you need the motor running to use it.

I was lucky enough to locate a 2025 Ranger Lariat in Marsh Gray with all options except the Convenience Package, sure it had it. Dealership stated that all could be installed with OEM products. They are putting a list of the OEM parts together for me, we’ll see the cost if it’s worth the install. The only complaint I have which a warranty claim has been submitted and awaiting an answer is that the 2 front bottom seat covers the leather is very loose and it looks like cheap. Hopefully Ford comes through and fixes this problem. Ranger is only 2 weeks old. Future Ranger buyers check them out when shopping for your new truck.

You may be receiving the truck at the right time. Winter is starting in Michigan.
Ford early on left the Broncos and Ranger in a holding lot to inspect. Some of them rusted underneath. The Ranger may come rusty underneath when delivered in the Winter,
The rust is not substantial but unsightly. I went over mine underneath.

Yea hard to beat the versatility of a Jackery or the like.
Very handy.

my first thread on here was XLT versus lariat

https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/xlt-versus-lariat.18472/

I don't regret buying the lariat and I am surprised how much I really enjoy the features you can't get in the XLT

so for me the extra cost was worth it but....

I still consider the XLT fully outfitted the better value
Yea, nothing wrong with the XLT, I just find push button start, premium projector LED headlights, standard surround view camera system, all are pretty important features some of which I consider safety features , like 360 cameras and good headlights.

Which worth mentioning it looked like in the 26 model Ranger order guide the lariat looses those projector LED headlights and the real leather seating.

I am also not really a fan of gauges in the XLT, the full color gauge display in lariat looks so much nicer.

I have a 2024 Ranger 4x4 Lariat. The B&O sound system is awesome. The wireless charging for phones is not so great. If you have a phone protector case and its a little thick, the charger won't hook up. You have to fiddle with it to get it to start charging and hope you don't hit a bump and shake it away from its perfect charge spot. As far as the power outlets in the bed, other than charging a cordless tool or computer, they are pretty useless. 400 watts is not enough to run a skill saw or other higher power tool.

Good call on asking for the inspection report—if you’re at a Ford dealer, also ask for the OASIS printout since it shows warranty/TSB history. On the test drive, do a true cold start and listen for any chain rattle, make sure 4H/4L and the rear locker engage cleanly, and feel for any odd shifts under light throttle. If you want more punch, the 2.7 feels noticeably stronger, but the 2.3 is plenty if you’re mostly commuting. A quick condition report plus an independent pre-purchase inspection will cover the gaps.
