AC Compressor Noise

Starting to get annoying on our ‘24 Lariat V6.

Anyone had any traction on a resolution with Ford?

Are you sure it's the AC compressor, and not the HPFP (high pressure fuel pump)?
I don't notice it on my 2.7, but my previous 2.3 sounded like a sewing machine due to the HPFP.

Yep, 100%. Comes and goes when you toggle AC on and off.

seen a growing number of posts including Ranger Raptors but no one seems to have reached a fix with Ford yet with them just saying it’s ‘normal’.

First I've heard of this - what does the noise sound like? Do you have a video of it?

Any resolution to this? I have the same issue with my Ranger Raptor im trying to get Ford to look into. Its a rather annoying whirring sound that goes up and down with RPM.

My dealership ordered a new air compressor. It will take about three days to get to the dealer. I’ll probably have it back in a week and I’ll let you know if it fixed the issue. The foreman told me that this was a one time replacement and if it didn’t fix then I would likely just have to deal with it. It’s sufficiently annoying though, don’t think I can keep the truck with that sound all the time. It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

Keep me posted. My dealership has asked me to drop it off again for their foreman to listen to it this time. I agree, im not sure i can keep the truck with the noise its making. Especially when im on teams calls driving. If the dealership cant do antyhing I will be escelating as much as I can.

Dealership put in a new AC compressor shipped from factory. Although it ‘might’ be a little softer, the whirring noise is still there.

While I was at the dealership there were two other 2025 RR that I was able to listen to. One had it louder than mine and one did not have it.

Mine is a late 2024. If it really is the air conditioning compressor, then they are shipping that way and the dealerships are unlikely to do anything unless they have a recall. They don’t have any other answer for it unfortunately.
