Adhesive Tape for Lights

I have 4 small amber lights in my grill, bought from Amazon and installed by me. They're held in place with 2 sided tape. One is starting to pull away from the grill. Any suggestions on a good sticky adhesive tape to make this light stay in place?

And don't forget to thoroughly clean the surface of contaminates, including car wax or ceramic coatings etc. For super adhesion you can get little wet wipe type packets, called primer but it's just body shop adhesion promoter. 500% better adhesion....

You want to use adhesion promoter with the 3m tape on many surfaces. The one use packages are fairly pricey (considering how little material is on the gauze pad) and oftentimes is pretty much dried out since the promoter solution is extremely volitile. I just went on Amazon and bought a small bottle that has a brush in the lid, and the lid seals well. The order included 2 bottles in the price. Don't waste your time with the small packages (similar to the alcohol wipes that are included with all accessories that are taped on).

Make sure you get the genuine stuff, not a generic vhb clone. After cleaning, it is important that you apply a LOT of pressure, either with a hard rubber roller or by mechanical clamping for a while. If you ignore this step, there is no guarantee that it won’t come loose again.
