Went ahead and cashed in the point. Installed it yesterday. Will probably stop some rock dings but not really a deflector of much. Looks good and was worth the nothing I paid (aside from the truck itself). It is made by Lund and has a subtle Ford emblem engraved on one end

However the black color just makes the silver lower fascia even more annoying to me

Got mine installed, too. Not quite as “sleek”, but maybe more protection. We’ll see how it works out but I’m pleased with the fit and the looks.

BTW, I envy you guys that don’t require front plates. It sure is a clean look! I did flip the mount to get the plate below the top grill.

The one thing I had to do after installation was adjust the hood stops a bit, this is very easy to do and the process is in a thread here which I will look up and link if you need it.

Will try to install it this weekend. Did you install the bigger PPF strip as the one provided did not cover the entire plastic clip?

No. I acidentally messed up one of the ones they give you so I just replaced them both.

BTW, the clips are very hard to push on but if you warm them up with a heat gun they go on easy.

Good idea! Was going to get one when the truck was delivered just for a sports team plate, then saw where it mounted and decided not to worry about it. Doesn’t look too bad at that level. Have considered fabricating one to mount down on the lower fascia but may or may not get around to it
