I didn't see a thread specifically for this so I started this thread for people with aftermarket running boards, or knowledge of aftermarket running boards, for 2024 and up Rangers. Not steps or sliders, just running boards. Fixed or powered. lets see them and hear about them. I'm going to be in the market for some when my truck arrives but undecided at this point on a brand, or between powered and fixed.

I have the stock ones on mine as they came with the FX4 package at the time but if I bought aftermarket ones I would have got the GoRhino RB20;s in slim line. I had the wide on my previous truck.

AMP Research makes various power boards depending on preference and climate. Optional override switch. I plan to put them on my future Raptor. Saw a thread showing AMP damage to the underside of a Ranger. Wonder why? I have them on my F150 now, for over four years, professionally installed, and no issues all year-round, four seasons. I like them because they hug the truck, deploy and retract fast, LED lights, step up is way better for wife and myself than the OEM step bar, easy to stand on to wash the truck. No, I don't work for them. Might consider Westin. I hear good things about them but have no experience.

Where's the thread with the measurements. I wish to do a Rock Slider.
I like the idea of it sticking out enough to protect the truck from door dings.

I put a set of Westin power running boards on. Not because I want them, but the fact that the stock boards are awkward to use. Westin uses duel motors and have an on/off switch so use can use them or not. They drop 7” when deployed. My wife loves them and my 88 year old mother can now get in the truck. I don’t need them or care to use them so I turn them off when it’s just me in the truck.
I’m sure the Amp power boards work just as good, but I would not buy a set if they are not duel motor. They will not stop door dings, shopping carts, or anything’s idiots are capable of. Below is a link to pictures I posted on another thread. If it doesn't take you there search for thread on Getting in and out. Then go to page 4.

Saw some interesting drop step running boards, I like the look, and the functionality of the raised step(s). Anyone tried anything like them? Or drop step style?

The ones in the first pic have 2 raised steps to access the roof and bed and the second pic there is a single raised step in the middle.

The third pic shows how to use the raised step:)

We had those on my wife's 2019 wrangler. They look good and are so sturdy. Someone can run into you on the side and not damage them. They rust fast though. Otherwise, nice solid steps

I did see some rust complaints in the reviews but rust may not be much of an issue where I live, nothing really rusts here for decades. I can always paint them if so.

One of my local truck store owners advised me to not order my AMP Research e-boards or RETRAX tonneau until Nov 14. Supposedly, Real Truck is having an early Black Friday sale starting then. If you are looking for aftermarket, you might want to check out their site and then wait.

I like the idea of it sticking out enough to protect the truck from door dings.
That was a big reason why I picked up my Rocky Road Slider step kit... door ding protection!
I'm waiting for the day I come back to the truck and find some color chips stuck on the side of my rock sliders. These things ain't letting anything thru to my doors or body panels!!

Rocky Sliders and running boards are kind of the same things, right? Just that running boards are more flimsy.

Well after driving up to visit @expertcom and looking at his GoRhino 6D Dominators I ordered them and installed today. They look good and they're solid and tough. 5 years warranty on the powder coat. 80 lbs total weight. Realtruck, who owns Rhino has them cheaper than Amazon and free shipping.
Thanks Dave!
