Android Auto Wireless - Spotty/Disconnecting

On both BMW and Ford AA has been doing audio drops where it will stop playing and not resume (e.g. due to spotty cell signal), and it will also do a thing where it will drop audio due to cache gaps but just keep 'playing' while not streaming the audio any longer once it resumes. This part appears to be recent AA updates (last 6+ months?). Affecting all audio streaming it seems, at least Amazon and Apple Music.

I've not had any phone disconnect issues, though. Admittedly I keep my phones relatively new.

My 24 rr disconnects all the time too. Really annoying

Mine just started very brief dropouts when streaming Pandora, have not tried any other apps yet. One thing I am doing different is the last few times I have not plugged in the phone for charging and left it in my shirt pocket, so maybe that has something to do with it.
