Another new old guy

Hello all, I found this site after searching for a solution to an issue I was having with my 2025 Ranger Raptor with trailer connection faults I was getting.

Before I go further, I’m 75 and semi retired. In the food business. Pizza specifically.
My other vehicle is a 2022 JL Wrangler 392 Xrecon with 139,000 miles on it. I’ve had zero issues with it.

I’m an Air Force Vietnam vet jet engine mechanic.

The connection issues were from having LED lights on the trailer- TOPO2 - and with the truck having LEDs the two weren’t getting along lol
If anyone else is experiencing this issue the the fix is a Curt LED adapter part number 57003 about $34 Amazon
I was getting all kind of fault codes such as not connected when it was and more.

This is my first post and so thanks to Admin for allowing me to be a part of this group.

Thanks for your service. 77 and 35 years Army civilian mainly in LLRW management. Love the RR, have the tune and the S/B CAI. No decals. Next is rear portion of Borla exhaust.

Welcome, do you plan to lift your RR? For the desert SW and towing it is a little low. Rear airbags or a slightly stiffer set of rear springs might be in order…. I would love to see pics of your TOPO2 hooked up, which model do you have? Does it come with an offroad coupler?

I am 72 with a few health issues, I used to have an Oliver Legacy Elite 2, I sold it and am no longer much interested in RVs, but your choice of rig sure touches my heart…. And I love Utah and Nevada!

how you liking the tune? There’s been mixed reviews.

it’s not hooked up to the Raptor but you get the idea. It’s the Adventure Topo 2 and the wife and I love it!

I have a 24 RR and a LED lit trailer to pull my fishing kayaks. I had to rewire the trailer lights when I bought the trailer, but I haven’t experienced any issues with codes or faults. Did you double check your ground on the trailer, or check to make sure everything is properly terminated at the light connections?

I did.
I contacted the builder in Utah and they knew exactly what I needed. The adapter should be here next week on Tuesday. I’ll provide you an update with pictures.
