Love the truck, hate the sound. Sounds like a sewing machine.

realize that sound is very subjective but what have you done to improve the sound of yours? Cold air, cat back exhaust, blow off valve (less interested) are all on the table. Not looking to sound obnoxious, but want a little more drama when I step on the gas - extra credit if it actually adds performance.

the exhaust sound clips are helpful (borla sounds decent to me), but videos with a cold air intake are pretty sparse and I don’t hear much difference in the ones that I have seen.
I put an AFE dry filter in the stock airbox and went to a muffler shop an replaced the stock muffler with a Magnaflow muffler. Truck sounds great, I think runs better

No drone on the Magnaflow? Does just replacing the filter (vs changing out the whole intake) really make a difference in sound? Don't doubt the AFE filter is better than OEM, but wouldn't expect it to have any real impact on sound, but maybe Im wrong.

didn't notice any difference in sound with filter change but did notice better throttle response.
muffler drone is very little doesn't bother me or wife at highway speeds at all.

So help this 79 year old dummy understand how the exhaust get out.
Google it.
The 2.3 Ecoboost head’s 4 exhaust runners join together internally. There’s only one exit hole where the turbo bolts directly on to.
This allows them to have coolant channels between the 4 runners yielding quicker warm up times and cooler exhaust temps.
