I have an issue with what appears to be one or more HVAC blend door actuators. I got the shop diagram showing me the locations but being I do not know which is bad, it makes me nervous having the dealership tear the dash apart. There appears to be four of them. I think 2 or 3 of them can be serviced from the removal of the glove box, which would be minimal disassembly, but another is on the opposite side near the driver side dash area, that one bothers me. Just wondering if anyone did anything behind the dash or has any info on replacing these Blend Door actuators! Thanks in advance.

It's under warranty - why do the work yourself and possibly cause it to not be covered under warranty any more?

Just take it in to a dealer. If they cause more problems then that's on them to sort out. If you do the work and then break something, then that's going to be on you. Why risk it?

Also, if there is a problem with an actuator like you suspect, how are you going to even fix it?

You are probably right. I'm just leery of some kid doing it but better then than me.

Oh I totally get it. But for things you can actually fix that doesn’t require pulling apart the entire interior it makes sense to do yourself

but in this case, I would say better to take it in for warranty repair - for all you know it might be something more complex as it’s not guaranteed to be simple that’s fixable yourself
