I didn't pay that much attention to the bars when I pulled the panel last year.It wouldn't be hard to hole-saw out the cup "indicators" and install some sort of 3D printed cup. Looking at my pictures when I put sound deadener inside the tailgate, the passenger side has plenty of room but the driver side might interfere with the latch bar
