I would rather use a hitch carrier than bed ramps if I can. It also frees up the bed for other stuff. Does anyone have one they can share their experiences with? something heavier than a dirt bike?

This one for heavier motorcycles with wider tires

Ford Ranger anyone use a motorcycle hitch carrier? 71lY+brBPZL._AC_SL1500_

I use one for my 250lb dirt bike and the Ranger handles it with no problem

My bike is almost 500lbs. These carriers look so much easier than bed ramps, that is why I'm interested

I can say that the hitch carrier is much easier and safer than using a ramp when loading/unloading solo.

I looked up the maximum tongue weight for a 2025 Ford Ranger (Non Raptor) is 750lbs. For Raptor, 550lbs. So if you don’t have a Raptor you should be fine. For Raptor, it might be kind of iffy. I would recommend calling your dealer/service center.

The only other concern you might think about is the width of your motorcycle. Make sure enough room left between the bike and the tailgate (dirt bikes are narrow, Big Harley’s not so much).

I hope this helps!

I recently bought one that will fit 7" wide tires. I will let you know how it works out

Yes I use an aluminum one for my KTM 500. Works well. I was surprised at the squat honestly. My Jeep didn't seem to squat as much as the RR. I also use it on the front of my F350 Tremor (with a front hitch of course).

I love front hitches and hood tire/equipment mounts, i wish there was one for the Ranger.

I would worry about blocking the air flow with a front mount. The radiator, turbo cooler, ac condenser all add up to needing plenty of air.

That said, any welding shop can make one. No need to wait for overpriced accessories.

I know too many welders to trust them to make one that fits without beat it into place.
