Right, so no cover is going to be 100% waterproof, but if you get everything installed properly you should be in good shape.

I intend to keep the truck for years. I got 174k and 154k on my last two GM trucks. I was thinking of using it like a trunk with luggage and stuff, and understand it might need to be in a tote. I know water will come in from the tailgate, but hoping the sides are sealed.

It's hard to tell if this is the same unit that I had on my F150, but it looks very similar. It was a fantastic cover. I swear it was a different brand though.
