It’s always going to be tough to keep out car wash spray. I had an A.R.E. on my previous F-150 that could keep the bed dry from anything the PNW could throw at it, but the t/g top & sides were always culprits to leakage during the touchless/pressure washer type car washes.
Yeah the 2-tone is growing on me. Plus it’s a weight/payload thing as well. A fiberglass unit will eat up more of that available payload number, no doubt.

i like that night owl one. i have been comparing and the aluminum is the way to go for me. living .5 mile from the ocean just tears stuff up and being able to do window on some and doors on the other access areas is great. i know rsi give the option too but the price difference also makes night owl look the best

It’s kinda hard to tell, but the first topper I had matched the roof height pretty well. I had a platform rack on top, so it looks a little higher.

Hi, I really like this Nghtowl topper! Does any dust get into the bed? Nghtowl does not come with a dust vent like the smartcap so curious if dust finds its way in. Seriously thinking about going with this. Thx

I get a little dust and water, but nothing terrible.
I carry a little Wolfbox blower to blow off the door before I open it if I’ve been in a bunch of dust, and then blow out the inside if needed.
More gets in from all the holes in the bed than the topper.

Nice. So if you really wanted to keep dust out you need to seal up the bed. Considering securing my doggos w/ this when weather is mild and don't want them inhaling too much dust.
Did you check out the Nghtowl Flight path series as well? Curious on the differences.
Any issues with either of your toppers? Wish I could see some of them in person.

Thx!!
