Taking some time off to visit my boys near St. Louis. They'll be on and off working so looking for day trips/stuff not to miss while we're there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind of hard not knowing what you're interested in, but here is a list of stuff to do off the top of my head.

Downtown area:
Arch and church they saved during the fire
Union Station mall
Cardinals game
City Museum (it's a giant, upcycled playground and city architecture tour museum. Look it up. Amazing place)

West side:
Old St Charles (Schlafly brewhouse and Lewis and Clark Boathouse)
Fastlane Classic Cars (its a restoration shop, but you can go browse their consignment inventory)
Faust Park butterfly garden, 100 year old carousel, and old mansion (governor's house?)
National Transportation (train) Museum
Couple animal sanctuaries
Six Flags

Central:
Forest Park (art museum, zoo, science center, all free; and nearby Heavy Riff brewing)
Grant's Farm (go pet Clydesdales and get free AB beer for $10 parking fee) and his house (NPS site)
Botanic Gardens

South of downtown:
Anheuser Busch brewery tour

North of downtown:
Yeah, don't go here.

I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. STL has a ton of cool things to do.

Def agree on quite a bit from this list.

Also options like Lone Elk Park and the World Bird Sanctuary.

Laumeier Sculpture Park

Delmar Loop

Soulard

The Grove

The Cathedral Basilica of STL

Shaw Nature Reserve

Meramec Caverns

Fox Theater

The Muny
