Bed lights

When installing my tonneau cover, I see there are lenses in the spots where the factory box lights are. I don’t have the factory box lights but it looks like the lenses are there and wonder if the LED is also

Has anyone taken the lenses out to see what’s really there? I’m not good with Automotive electric so I didn’t mess with it

My truck is the same color as yours, it wouldn’t have been my first choice but it’s growing on me.

So for anyone else, my truck did NOT come optioned with the aftermarket bed lighting but does have it installed. Easy to miss as for some reason it does not turn on with a button in the back or with the tailgate opening, they turn on with the rear zone lighting.

They also turn on with the button in the cab. It's on the dash to the left of the steering wheel at the very bottom.

I wish there was a good way to activate these lights from the bed. Wouldn't have been hard for Ford to install a button like on the F150... But what can you do.

I believe you touch them to turn them on. Mine definitely come on when I wash the bed and the water hits them from the sprayer.

i jsut went and touched mine lol def doesnt turn on, you might have a short of some sort
