Bed rug alternative

My truck is bed lined and the texture is a bit agressive. Golf bag gets chewed up by the liner. My FIL has the full bed rug in his truck and it works great but its not worth the money they want.

Is there any other makes or maybe a diy option?
Im thinking maybe some marine grade carpet and an razor knife would get what I need.

I was able to snag a bed rug mat on Amazon that was returned for about $125. It's held up extremely well for the past 2 years, and is great on your knees climbing into the bed. Other than that, maybe a horse stall mat, but that was $80.

New bed rug is $150 before tax.

TSC, Tractor Supply has one that fits between the wheel wells that is abgood price. You can easily cut the length.

I bought the Lasfit bed mat (sold under many different names). Didn't like it as it has too many ridges that things get caught on trying to slide them around and didn't stay flat. Wound up with the Ford mat for the Ranger. Much better. Flat, easy on knees, things will slide when you want them to, although it costs more. Also says RANGER on it. It's the thickness of the Tractor Supply mats.

Mine? Nothing that isn't dark. It's charcoal gray carpet on a foam core molded to our beds ridges. Came with some velcro tape, but nothing really sticks to the factory spray-in, so just keep something on it, or use a tonneau like I did.
