Question for fellow Bed-Rug owners.

Curious about how my Bed Rug was installed.
I had mine installed by the company that also sold and installed my new topper.

It sort of struck me as odd that the trucks accessory trim bezzles were not pulled and put on top of the Bed-Rug.

Does this install look correct to you guys?

I would sort of thought those trim bezzles should be on top of the bed rug?

That's what I would have thought. Your pic of the power point panel does not expand but did they not mount that on top of the Bedrug either? I'm getting a Bedrug installed by the topper shop as well and plan to ask questions. Just cutting a hole looks lazy and sloppy and wouldn't make me happy. I also want to know where and how they plan to tap the cargo and brake lights. Depending on what they tell me I may just tell them to let me do the cuts and make the electrical connections although it's probably a liability if they let it leave without the high mount brake light connected.

No, none of the lights nor power panel bezzles were put on top the carpet like I thought it should have been.

I did not see the carpet beforehand, but it is my understanding that it was pre-cut by bed-rug.
The openings for the lights and power panel were already cut out.
Seems all they did to install it was put down the Velcro strips and set it in there.

Did they at least put Velcro around the cuts or are they just flapping in the breeze?

Is there enough material left that you can pull the bezels and put the edges behind them?

It looks like it would work to put those bezzles on top of the carpet.
However, I was not sure if there would be long enough screws or bolts though.
That carpet is pretty thick.

I know we have several members here that have bed rugs.
Was hoping to find out before taking it back and complaining about it.
If it's in there the way it is supposed to be, I will live with it. It just looks sort of sloppy laying top.

I will look closer when I get home, but I do not think there is any Velcro behind those openings.
There was some on the tailgate and I assume there is some at the front and back of the bed.

Sherman beat me to it, here's a video showing how to do it.

That is exactly what I thought they should have done. LOL
That looks much nicer.
Thanks.

Installed my bed rug and did not attach it behind the bezels (did not know it was supposed to).
I also did not like the way the bed rug was just willy-nilly dangling at the cutouts.
I installed additional velcro (hook and loop) strips around the cutouts.

A reason not to install behind the bezels is for quicker removal for cleaning/hosing or whatever.
I had my previous truck with a bedrug for 25 years and never removed it for cleaning (or whatever).

The cutouts in the bed rug were only pre scored (if that is the correct term), not actually cut out.
