People are genuinely trying to help you if someone has proven you are wrong about a feature is it truly inconceivable that you might have misunderstood something and consider that instead of just telling the helping person to move on? Just because you were a sales manager doesn't mean you are a feature expert, trust me anyone on the fixed ops side of any dealership can vouch for that.. Also, if you feel the urge in the future to ask if someone can read English, it will help if you use your and you're correctly!

It's painfully obvious that you are technology challenged. Go back to the dealership and have a product specialist give you the lowdown on how things work on your truck.
By the way your sentence structure and grammar could use some work too.

It's funny that rather than read the underlaying issues in context and seeing others have similar issues, a useless group of you would rather take the time to posted negative useless comments. You guys make the rest of the concerned poster look bad. So go ahead and bash the bullshit. I'm sure it helps no one.

Note: The minimum set speed is 15 mph or 20 km/h.
The indicator, current gap setting and set speed appear in the instrument cluster display.
Switching Adaptive Cruise Control Off
Ford Ranger beyond perplexed with the technology not working!!! {filename}
Press the button when the system is in standby mode or switch the ignition off.
Note: When you switch the system off, the set speed clears.
Automatic Cancellation or Deactivation
The system may cancel if:
  • The tires lose traction.
  • You apply the parking brake.
  • Your vehicle speed falls significantly below 15 mph or 20 km/h.
The system may turn off or prevent activating when requested if:
  • The vehicle has a blocked sensor.
  • The brake temperature is too high.
  • There is a failure in the system or a related system.

Ford Ranger beyond perplexed with the technology not working!!! {filename}

Note: The gap setting is time dependent and therefore, the distance adjusts with your vehicle speed.
Note: It is your responsibility to select a gap appropriate to the driving conditions.
Adaptive Cruise Control Gap Settings
Graphic Display, Bars Indicated Between Vehicles Gap Distance Dynamic Behavior
1 Closest. Sport.
2 Close. Normal.
3 Medium. Normal.
4 Far. Comfort.
Each time you switch the system on, it selects the last chosen gap setting.
Following a Vehicle
When a vehicle ahead of you enters the same lane or a slower vehicle is ahead in the same lane, the vehicle speed adjusts to maintain the gap setting.
Note: When you are following a vehicle and you switch on a turn signal lamp, adaptive cruise control may provide a small, temporary acceleration to help you pass.
Your vehicle maintains a consistent gap from the vehicle ahead until:
  • The vehicle in front of you accelerates to a speed above the set speed.
  • The vehicle in front of you moves out of the lane you are in.
  • You set a new gap distance.
The system applies the brakes to slow down your vehicle to maintain a safe gap distance from the vehicle in front of you. The system only applies limited braking. You can override the system by applying the brakes.
Note: The brakes may emit noise when applied by the system.
If the system determines that its maximum braking level is not sufficient, an audible warning sounds, a message appears in the instrument cluster display and an indicator flashes when the system continues to brake. Take immediate action.

Jason, thank you. I already had that and read it all, and that is what prompted me to post this thread plus another. My systems do NOT work as stated in the manual. For example, if you select lane keep button as stated, nothing happens, no indicator, nothing, even though the center screen setting are all set to on. That button should have two functions, one for lane keep and again for lane centering if adaptive cruise set, which by the way does work for me. The pre-collision assist feature, although set in the center screen, does not show or work, however the setting button for distance on the steering wheel does work if adaptive cruise button hit. Speed sign recognition does not work. Traction control button does not work, and the drive modes you are supposed to set via the rotary knob, nothing happens no matter which way I rotate. And now the seat belt alert/chime no longer works?

Bottom line, lot of guys ready parts of my threads, and some guys think the system is working correct, but most do not, and based on the manual and prior vehicles I have owned, I know it is not working as designed for any of these functions.

To be clear, I have a 25 XLT FX4 with the 2.7 and the tech and tow options, so all of the above are included in my build as working options, none of which do. I did a battery reset, nothing changed. I am just unsure what possible module would control nearly every driver assist feature, that might have to be reset, reflashes, or reloaded. Dealership on Tuesday, crossing fingers.

so you dont get any of this anywhere?

Note: When switching the system on or off a message appears in the instrument cluster display to show the status.

as for pre collison, i believe the only notification you get is when it activates. audible and visual on the dash, otherwise there is nothing else to tell you, its just there waiting to save you.
