Who else is patiently waiting for some brake upgrade kits to come into the market for our trucks? I'm specifically waiting on some for the RRaptor that will fit under 17" wheels, but those should fit just about every Ranger. Anyone planning on trying to piece a system together, or use something available for the gen5 or Bronco?

Definitely keeping on eye out for BBK options for the RR. Less concerned about fitting a 17" if I can get a 6 pot front setup. My SRT Grand Cherokee weighs about the same (5150lbs), and the Brembo 6 pot front 4 pot rears really work well balance wise.

Some quality pads and a bleeding may be all that's needed, but I'm not finding pads yet from the aftermarket.

Edit: manual states we should use a low viscosity (LV) DOT4 fluid. 5.1 LV would be better even with the increased changed intervals, as that's going to give better wet* performance than 4 for those who aren't good about changing fluid every 2 years. Might not be good for those in cold climates that see -40°C often. Do your own research there.

*all brake fluid outside of DOT5 (Silicone based) is hygroscopic, meaning it readily absorbs water. Wet boiling temp is measured with roughly 4% water added, basically simulating 2 years of use and water uptake from the environment. Dry boiling is the fluid free from water, as in straight out of an unopened container.

NEVER MIX DOT5 into a system meant for DOT3, 4, or 5.1 fluid!

I'm used to big brakes so I'm waiting on something. Thought I saw something in Aussie land so hopefully we'll get something over here sooner or later. Also had a Jeep SRT and then the CTS-V so I love big rotors and lots of pistons.

Tickford has a front kit with rotors I saw so far from AU, and I saw an unknown mfg BBK in either Thailand or Phillipines with a dual caliper in the rear to deal with the electric parking brake. I'm fine on stocks with updated fluid and pads until more options come out of the US distributors. Hopefully in another year our aftermarket gets a little broader stateside.

Brembo would be great. We might have to wait a while.
