Sorry, I have no idea. I do know it’s below DOT bridges.

Good point. I do know that i do not attach my bike in my garage. Only outside for install and uninstall. Ripping off a bike from its mount could make for a really bad day.

I use the Kuat Ibex / Piston solution and it puts the top of my bike's about 9ft high. Looks to be about the same height.

I used to carry bikes on top of my SUV, which was even taller and have just gotten used to paying attention to clearance everywhere.

i have always used an in bed mount for my bikes but i would like to get a hard tonneau and that would require the set up like yall are running.

that one you have, @sikedsyko , uses the same bar style that lifts over the wheel that my buddy had when his bike came off on the highway. does yours also strap down the wheels with velcro or something?

They don't have you use any straps with standard bike sizes. I've carried bikes a few thousand miles already with this rack with no issues, including some light offroading. Even if some bigger mountain bike tires went flat, it would be pretty hard for the bike to come out.

They do sell a strap kit for bikes with fenders that might have fitment issues you could use if you're worried about it.

I used to use wheel off carriers that attach at the axle, but I had a big trip ruined when I lost the thru-axle and the only bike shop didn't have any in stock.

Nice set-up! What brand bed cover do you have?
I have the Retrax XR. I got it from Real Truck. It was my first purchase once I got the truck.

Got the cover, it is perfect! What bases did you get for the bars to make sure the Retrax handle slides under without hitting or having to lower the handle? Thanks!

I bought rhino aero bars from e trailer. You still need to hold the lock cover down a little when running under the bars.

I have the same tonneau cover but I am not too happy with it. The drainage hoses do not stay connected. I ordered new ones, same issue so when it rains, my gear gets completely soaked. Have you experienced that?

Oh yes I did. I used a dab of silicone on the hoses to hold them in place. Spent a lot of time using rubber grommets to plug all the holes in the truck cap and more importantly added a tailgate seal. Now I have no more leaks.
