Regardless of how the part functions, it's a modification of the original design of the vehicle & that isn't covered under the MMWA. That leaves an huge out for Ford or any other manufacturer.
Who cares? If you need to take your truck into the dealer, take 2 minutes and take it off. ?

Yes, it will absolutely void parts of the drivetrain warranty. That is not an approved part by Ford. Also, it's not even remotely necessary.
My dealer literally installed mine for free when I got an oil change (it is where I bought the truck and I know some guys there). I asked if it would impact the warranty and they said no way but still offered to reach out to a contact at Ford for peace of mind. Was told no impact to any warranty. All it does is make noise.

good lord this thread turned into a b*tching fest. my local dealership, when i had my bronco badlands, said my spacer, oil catch can and even my leveling kit, wouldn't cause any issues with my warranty. although they did install the leveling kit.
