After some trial and error I've been able to get gauges to show up on the sync headunit. It requires an OBD2 Bluetooth transmitter. It works relatively well and there is some customization to the gauges. Lots of PIDs to chose from. This isn't exactly approved by AA so I'm not going to put the instructions on here. It's always been a game of cat and mouse with updates constantly shutting this down. If you are interested DM me and I can point you in the right direction.

I also have this setup with this: https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-mxp/ and using a few apps with wireless AA
been using the obd link app for my mx+, as that is AA approved. I'd love to get forscan lite back on aa. but didnt want to go through the steps needed. But I seen a wireless Samsung dex adapter that allows my s24 ultra to go into dex mode, then I can use what ever app I want, torque, forscan, etc. so thats on my list to get over the fall/winter.

I saw that also on Amazon I believe. I have the Fold 6 and other than some random disconnects with wireless AA, it's been pretty nice.

Wish I was good with computers. Even with your explanation I haven't a clue.

XLT is what i have which is a mid level trim. You can get the 301a technology package added which gives a larger screen and some other goodies but i do not have that.

I just ordered the AutoPro X dongle. Being able to project my S24U directly to the car with DeX is intriguing.
Pretty much negates the need for AA and lets me use the car scanner app of my choice for gauges.

cant wait to see the actual interface besides the stuff they got in their promotional stuff on their site. I think it loads AA from it, then launches the dex from AA and we connect to that. thsts my understanding of it.

gotta wait till I have more disposable income from my winter job before hand. lol

granted the obd link app doesnt give you conventional gauges, you maybe able to change the display on AA for it, I havent tried, on the phone app you can chsnge the display guages. Use to use torque pro on my android headunit in my old rig.

Torque Pro and a 3rd party app from the AA Wireless creator was what I used for gauge configuration on the car display. Is that what you used? Unfortunately AA put the kybosh on that app and the workarounds have been a waste of time and effort to keep it going.
I'm really looking forward to getting the AutoPro X and seeing what it can do. I'll create a separate thread on it with an evaluation and pics.

when I used torque pro on a android headunit Atoto A6 Pro. its essentially a android tablet with a radio. so be the same as looking on your phone screen, did not have AA or carplay.

I would like the instructions please, and can you move the boost gauge to the instrument panel?
