Family trip to Brazil to spend time with our Brazilian son in law's family, enjoy the beaches, mountains etc. Wonderful people, great food and fun, all fueled by Cipriana's. The car hobby never leaves me and I was excited to see so many Gen5's in use as well as a few Gen 6's. Saw a white Ranger Raptor but it went by us on a mountain pass headed the other way. Some pics and commentary. Even stopped by a Ford dealership to take a look (closed for lunch but snapped a few pics) The last pic is Rio do Rastro, drove it in a Citroen Cactus C4 (biggest POS I've driven...). Enjoy Pics and comments below.

YES - loooong flight from Chicago to Sao Paolo, layover and 90 mins to Florianapolis. Then a 3 hours car drive to our first location in Bombinhas. Food was delicious as well as the "drinks". Locals we're great as well as my Son in Law's family. So gracious.

Beautiful country. Too bad I don't do well with heights and winding mountain roads with steep dropoffs.

I heard the Rampage is supposedly coming to NA soonish. Looks cool in your pics, just not what I'm looking for. I was really hoping when they were talking about a "Dakota replacement" it would be a Dakota replacement not a Maverick rival.

Looks beautiful there! Out of curiosity, if it's your son in law's family, wouldn't that just make it your daughter's family? I'm so confused.

Thanks so much for posting the pics, you helped solve something I've been trying to figure out for over 25 years. In the mid-90s I was in Colombia working for the USG. I was down on the COL/BRA border in a small dirt road town and this tiny little Jeep/VW looking car drove by, about 2/3 the size of a 2dr Jeep. It said "Gurgle" on the side and I wanted one. Got back to Bogota and started searching the early internet for "Colombia" and "Gurgle". Never found it. I've searched several times in the passing years but no luck. I saw that dune buggy in your pics and the light bulb came on. Did a search tonight for "Brazil" and "Gurgle" and found it. Turns out the correct spelling is Gurgel. It was a Gurgel X10, 11, or 12. No luck so far finding one for sale in the States but I'm a lot closer now, thanks!

None of your business!
Love it. I'm a Fijian living in CA and go back once a year. What makes me disappointed, is Asia/Pacific markets get the cream of Ford and here in US, we get all the basic models. WildTrack trim (aka Tremor trim) is already out in 6th gen ranger . Even the last gen Ranger Raptor had the turbo diesel which we'll NEVER see here in USA. One of my uncles owns that and I drove it thru mud, rain, rivers and had a blast. Comes with sports bar as stock.

One of my friends back home just bought the new Ford Everest and if Ford released that here, a lot of 4Runner owners will easily flock over. I don't know why Ford, an American company, reserves the best for foreign markets.

Agree that Ford ought to look at the global portfolio and improve the US/North America mix. Wait on the Ranger is killing me.

Its funny, I was in Antigua in late December, and every other truck seemed to be a Ranger Raptor. Its crazy to see such a coveted car (in the US) be so ubiquitous in a country that is smaller than most states in both geography and population.
