I don't hear much difference, but the air flows much better to the turbos, creating a Lil more power. How does it sound? I have yet to see a video on one
any proof of this? All data shows even on a dyno, no added power with just the cold air? I would love to know!I don't hear much difference, but the air flows much better to the turbos, creating a Lil more power.
No proof. They dyno'd the Bronco 2.7L it shows some power increase. https://afepower.com/afe-power-50-70081r-momentum-gt-cold-air-intake-system-w-pro-5r-filterany proof of this? All data shows even on a dyno, no added power with just the cold air? I would love to know!
Interesting, as everything I seen not tied to a manufacturer showed little to no HP gains. No proof. They dyno'd the Bronco 2.7L it shows some power increase. https://afepower.com/afe-power-50-70081r-momentum-gt-cold-air-intake-system-w-pro-5r-filter
I was the first truck to install this cai, because their test truck moved out of state b4 they could dyno it.
A good snorkel would be nice. The stock air box is pretty good. Ford figured out air boxes for the Ecoboosts a while ago. I would rather have a snorkle on the stock box than a CAI. I have a tune, intercooler, and charge pipes on a 2.7. Air temp is more important to me than "flow" or sound.
Honestly I just love the way they sound! And yes a tune would make sense with a CAI. I was thinking the ford performance oneNot sure if these provide any functional purpose? I mean no added HP, maybe some sound with Turbo running, but why do guys put these on without a tune, which sort of makes better sense? Just asking.
