Can not get gas nozzle in tank

What's the life expectancy of this system before it fails emissions.
This is the first vehicle I have owned with this system. Not sure how long it's been around.
Coming from California where emissions tests are required every other year on older vehicles, out of 15 vehicles I very rarely had one fail because of the cap system.
Most of the cap issues were drivers loosing the caps.
Seems it's cheaper and easier to replace a cap vs. replacing these newer systems when they fail.
Are they covered under emissions warranties?

Not sure of life expectancy but the Ranger only has 7053 miles on it.

Mine is a little over 8K and so far no issues.

My 2013 escape has this system. I have about 300,000kms on it. It's never failed me.
