Center display bug

Today when I got in the truck the center display didn’t light up. It lit up about a minute later. Then this afternoon, about 8 hours later, it lit up when I stared the truck then reset itself a few seconds later. I tried to make a phone call after that but there was no audio. I pulled over and shut down then restarted the truck and it worked fine. Any thoughts? I just got the truck a week ago. Should I take it the dealer?

Are automatic updates enabled? Mine did the same and seemed liked it was related to an update.

I've since turned off auto updates so time will tell.

4 days old. Screen has rebooted once and Wireless Car Play has stopped audio more times than I can count.

I believe that Ford surveils these posts. @Ford Motor Company are you aware of any wide spread issues with the Center Display in the Ranger Raptor (or similarly equipped models)?

First thing I’d try is check ford pass, select your truck and see if updates are shown for sync, download to computer, extract to usb flash drive insert into truck USB and let it update, wireless updates often get interrupted

Me too. Also bluetooth rarely works. I can’t hear whoever is on other end but evidently they can hear me. Center display showed radio once but no stations and couldn’t see station it was on. Could see the checkerboard squares where stations should be displayed. I also don’t like that the center screen doesn’t go back to screen you were on, IE Navigation or Entertainment, after a phone call. Mine just displays all previous calls and won’t return. Same way with main dash display. It wont go back to where I have it which is the MPG screen. I have to push return 2 or 3 times to get back.

Yes but this is how it's designed, not an error. Just not a great design.

Yes definitely a poor design. Very distracting to try to get 2 different screens back to where they were with different buttons. Should be an easy fix with un update but I am no IT person.

Also if you want to use the Sirius XM radio while using Car Play, you touch the appropriate icon, but then to go back to your Car Play screen you have to re-launch Car Play. It won't just open Sirius in an inset window.

It's a poor flow between the systems.
