Anyone else notice all the bongs and stuff are radically different now for anything the truck is trying to warn you about. I took the update last night to fix the trailer braking recall and now all the sounds are "worse". They also seem to no longer come through the full stereo as before they would override the music. Gone is my "I drive a ford" bong and now its just worse. Anyone see anywhere to change them back in the settings?

I haven't noticed any changes since the recall service. Just the regular beeps, bongs, bells and constant messages drive me up a wall. They think all the stuff supposed to make driving safer but I find it extremely distracting.

Glad I'm not going insane. I have been hearing miscellaneous beeps and bloops since the update on my RR as well. There have been no corresponding messages on any of the screens to identify what they are. They are a different tone than any other warnings I have heard in the past.

I did not notice this after the ITRM update but I may have an explanation for what you’re hearing: I think many modern vehicles primarily rely on the same speaker system as the radio, etc. However because some noises are safety-related they have a backup audio path with its own speaker if there’s a fault in the normal speaker system.

I’ve heard what you’re describing infrequently over several years, including with my earlier 2021 model. No obvious pattern why, but it has always self-resolved.

That does sound like some of what is occuring, but some of the noises are 100% different not just altered because of the speaker they are routing through.

I had a phantom one this morning, then all the others were just different.

Since that last update I get two weird chimes(?) (honks? bells?) when I start up after it's been parked for a while. It sounds like some sort of emergency notification so it makes me jump, but nothing comes up on the screen or dash. Kind of annoying.

I've experienced what you're talking about too. The audio control module in my Edge has slowly been failing, and sometimes the bings and bongs come from down in the dash rather than the speakers. I assume that's why it's been happening, anyway.

Seems the sounds went back to normal this morning on first start. Must be something to do with finishing the software update during operation.

Maybe, maybe not. I had another one of the new chimes this morning.
Hopefully they find the root cause so I can lose the bleeps, the sweeps, and the creeps.
