Just curious if this is a thing now. I'm having the local Ford Dealer Service Dept install Eibach Leveling Struts on my Ranger. They tacked on $60 for doing a Multi Point Inspection, on what is essentially a new truck.

I don't recall every paying for a vehicle inspection during service before from Ford, or any other manufacturer for that matter.

Is this the new normal now or do I just have a crummy dealer?

Usually they do it free because there is "always" something they can recommend you need, not for free...

If you didn't request it, don't pay for it!

This has been my experience in the past, either with warranty work or something I paid to have done.

I know when I get mine done it's part of the package(The Works) for oil change and tire rotation. As others have said you didn't ask for it so I wouldn't be paying for it.
