So my check engine light came on after a job the other day. It’s an emission system leak. That morning I decided to get gas for my lawn mowers and had about a gallon in the can. Took my filler funnel and put it in my truck so I could fill an empty can and the station. In my stupidity I left the funnel in the filler tube, which is most definitely what threw the code. I’ve driven about 70+ miles so far and the check engine light is still on. Now the question… will it reset itself like it’s supposed to (ya know like an older car) or do I have to take it to a dealer?
