I ordered a 24 Lariat through my dealership last week. I just received the “Order Confirmation” from Ford. They stated I should hear something within 45 days. Realistic or standard verbiage?

You may or may not get 45 day update emails that are just boilerplate (seems hit or miss with other people’s experiences so far). Probably not anything of substance.

I believe that’s correct. You could always reach out to customer service and ask about a VIN. They should be able to look it up with your order code/information. Since you just ordered and since they haven’t scheduled any new builds post-strike, it’ll probably be a few weeks I’d guess.

Or a few months I ordered Jun 13 and my dealer is telling me I am prioritized for a build but I not holding my breath. Thinking I get it around March time frame.

I ordered my Ranger Raptor on August 14th. Confirmation from Ford was almost immediate. Radio silence from Ford since.

I get it there was a strike that delayed all Ranger orders. Telling me that there is a delay due to the strike would have been the expected update after 45 days.

I received order confirmation and one 45 day update. They “promise” to provide you with an update at least once every 45 days in the email.
My 2nd update is almost 90 days overdue

I work in software and know how easy it would be to automate a 45 day email that, while it may not say anything useful, would at least be a heartbeat to say 'yeah, your order still exists'. Maybe they feel that kind of communication would make people upset instead. For me I'd at least like to get something that says the order is still in "awaiting scheduling" mode, rather than radio silence....

Wholeheartedly agree. It’s bad enough when someone you know ghosts you. It’s another thing entirely when you’ve committed tens of thousands of dollars to a faceless corporation and they feel ok ghosting you!

Can’t do anything but shake your head I suppose. I get that they had to complete the 23 orders and then they had to deal with the strike, but how hard is it to generate a blast email stating they have t forgotten about you or your order.

I suppose priority is relative. If they’re not building any trucks, then a priority 3 is the same as a priority 19!
