Anyone know how to formally contact Ford about safety issue? The hands on wheel system is causing me to over correct (almost come off the road, or into traffic) to get it to turn off. IF I don't have the space to correct on a busy highway, it literally tries to shut me down in the middle of the road.

Obviously a malfunction, but based on several posts I'm not alone.

Mine's so bad, that I almost don't want to use it.

Any suggestions on how to fix it, or file a complaint would be appreciated.

Just turn the Lane Assist off in the Driver Assist menu… problem solved!

“I’m gonna sue Ford for this feature because I think it’s dangerous”

You sir, are what is wrong with America!
Just turn it off if you don’t like it!

And FYI, it only does what you’re describing if A) you aren’t paying attention and drifting dangerously out of your lane, or B) you are trying to change lanes without first using your turn signals.
Either way, my previous statement applies!

I got mine set on minimum and it doesn't do what you describe. Like people said take it back to dealer might need calibration.

. The truck is impressively dialed in and tracks straight down the road with VERY little steering input causing the warning to come on excessively. I am hoping that Ford can tweak this with an over the air software update. Yes you can turn off the lane keeping assist but that is a nice feature to have on long interstate highway trips.

I was thinking the same thing today while driving on the interstate. It's like it works to well. ;) I tried taking my hands completely off the wheel for a while, except for a slight nudge when the warning popped up. It was tracking exactly in the center of the lane, even in the curves, without any wondering from side to side. I was impressed.

If you fail the hands check it only turns off driver assist...not the whole truck.
Nah, that would make sense. It actually starts doing a brake check dance. I was doing really well and steering along with it and didn't hear the chime. It started flipping out lol. It made a believer out of me after that.
