Nice review, thanks. Looks like after spray in bedliner and some other things that should have been standard we're at $65k. Ouch.

It's a 50/50 deal for me. High speed off-roading isn't my thing, but having front & rear lockers is.
I'll wait and see if Ford offers a 6G Tremor in the near future.
They've done away with the Supercab too, disappointing. Not too many of us single men with no kids left I guess.

How do you figure that? It starts at $56k and a spray in bed liner costs around $500

GM did the same. I can understand these moves (in GM's case only the 2.7 engine, same infotainment in all trucks, only one cab, only one bed, etc.) if there is cost savings and therefore lower MSRP. But that's not the case. $60k out the door for a midsize truck is insane.

I saw that, but there is nothing I've seen yet that would drive the price that high. The Raptor has most things standard. I'm still hoping for ventilated seats but I don't think there's anyway they'd have more than $5k worth of add-ons unless you're going crazy and buying bull-bars and rack lights.

Don't the F-150 Raptors have a performance pack that adds $5k? Not sure that's a must have or not. Oh ang the Blue interior pack.

Have you seen the way packages are being done these days? Let’s say you want the power inverter and 400W outlet. That comes in a “tech” package that costs $1,200 and bundles the inverter with other things. Oh, you want the auxiliary switches in the cab? That’s part of the “driver convenience” pack and that’s another $1,800 because it’s bundled with adaptive cruise control and heated seats and some other stuff. It doesn’t take long AT ALL to rack up $5k in options just to get a couple of things you really want. Heck, on the new Colorado you have to select a package just to get cruise control.

The truck in this review likely is not a base model and is not a $56k truck. I’d say that finding a Raptor on the lots this summer at MSRP under $65k will be nearly impossible.

Agreed, if you're talking about dealer mark-ups then it will for sure be more than that. There is no way MSRP is going to be that high though. I'll come back here and eat my words if I'm wrong but reading Ford's site, most of those tech features are standard on the Raptor.

Every feature I saw says something to the effect of "standard on Ranger Raptor, available on XLT and Lariat.

The F-150 Raptor gets crazy with add-ons, but that's their halo truck. I doubt the Ranger will have those kind of options available. They don't want this surpassing their halo after all.

It won't cost for than the F150 but I can easily see $5k in add ons.
