This seems to be the most active Ranger forum out there (at least for 2024-2025) so I'm starting a few threads here.

This one is about dash cams and what folks are using, or plan to use. I came across this one
https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-ford-ranger-2024-2025-5th-gen-wildtrak-raptor

which looks like a plug n play solution for the Ranger but have no clue how good it is. Using Rove on another vehicle but looking for a more custom solution for the new truck.

I have a fitcamx on my 22 bronco. Video is great but has no parking monitoring function. I also found the easiest way to playback video is to remove the sd card and open it up on my computer.
I really like how it replaces the oem plastic cover and looks stock. There’s no additional camera hanging down. It came with an adapter that plugged into the mirror plug so no difficult wire runs.
I’d give it a 7/10 overall with the main issue being able to easily playback video. However I do like that my video isn’t being uploaded to the cloud.

Thanks for the info. Did you go with front and rear or just front?

I had a Viofo a229 pro + powercell dashcam battery (for parking mode) in my previous vehicle. I'll probably do the same for my RR just waiting on a decent deal for the same battery.

I have the Rove dual. I tapped into the mirror for power so it only works when the ignition is on. I did have to send my first 2 units back they kept shutting off and rebooting. Besides that it's a great camera and the service department was easy to work with.

Looks like they offer a separate wiring harness for the fuse box if you want parking mode which is neat.

Had a Thinkware DC-U1-FG in my 2023, removed it and installed in my 2025 XLT. Stores video on SD card. Use SD to lightning adapter for iPhone to view video. Only issue is pairing camera via hotspot to my phone. Good quality video and plug-and-play. Ford tech so get decent pricing from my dealer.
