Dash Hood Aux Switches?

Does anyone know what's under this dash hood? I was thinking on adding aux switches in this area. Thoughts?

I haven't opened it up but from previous ford's i've owned there's a decent chance there's a speaker there. It was common for people to unhook it to make the sound a bit more crisp.

Well then, that explains a lot. Thank you. I have the XLT so I don't have the B&O sound system so that area should be open and clear for adding possible aux switches. My cover is solid and not perforated like the one you show (lucky Raptor owner you). I may have to pop it off and take a look at what's possible. Thanks again!

I see some time has passed here. What did you end up doing?

I’m coming from a 2021 Tremor, with factory upfitter switches at the top of the dash. Looking for an option for a 2024 Lariat. Really leaning towards the Garmin Power Switch, so I get switches on the centre screen and phone.
