I had a 2019 Sabre FX2 w/the 2.3. I was really hoping Ford had fixed that Off idle stumble. Well I did- this is how. Anybody can defeat it, but the trick is to keep the drivability. Sport is mapped too aggresivly, 1/4" of pedal and it's flying down the road, Tow and your stuck with the down shifts. What i used was a Banks Pedal Monster, set to city Mode boosted 6 levels (of 10) with the off idle desenatizing switched ON and level set to 3 (of5). Stumble is 95% gone, even when cold. C'mon Ford- Do better!!! Hope it helps, almost made me hate the truck!

I think the lag in normal mode is there by design and seems to be common across other makes. I do not know if it is emissions and/or MPG related but is there regardless.

I have installed the Banks Pedal Monster also on my Ranger and also Jeep Gladiator for the same reasons.

I got A '98 Mustang Cobra, they were still using a throttle cable at that time. The Response is instantanious, It's beautiful. Should be mandated for instant response. Thank god for Pedal monster.
