Good morning,
I have a 2025 Ford Ranger XLT and am installing the Kicker Hideaway HS10 powered subwoofer.
I'm trying to disable bass roll-off with Forscan but not having any luck. I'm setting 727-01-02 first 4 to 0000. Forscan writes the data but then the head unit will keep switching back to AM after a second of playing FM or any other input.
Has anyone successfully done this? Or should I install the Kicker Keyloc instead?
Thanks!

Keyloc yes unfortunately.

Thing is I found too expensive this solution for the result.

Hideaway 10 is 400 USD ?
Keylock plus harness is 300 USD ?

700 + power cable for a OK result, about 750 USD

Hear me out :

- Underseat sub box from Stealthech about 150 USD
- Kicker 48CWRT102 (10" 400w 1dual 2ohms) about 175 USD
- Kicker 47KEY500.1 DSP AMP (will fix rolloff with auto-tuning, 500w 1ohm stable) - about 240 USD
- Harness + power cable 150 USD

About 700 USD total but much much better result, you'll be happier with a real shallow 10" sub versus a active loaded box like the Hideaway.

Cheaper and better...

You'll need something like the Keyloc as the Forscan method only works for non B&O versions.

Yes it applies to non B&O as well sorry.

The 47KEY500.1 DSP amplifier would get the factory signal (from rear doors ?) with the harness and fix the rolloff and EQ the factory signal. This amp is a great fit with the Kicket sub, they are well matched. It is one little box not much larger than the KEYLOC.

The power ceiling and quality would be greater than the little air the Hideaway10 can move.
You could "feel" the bass, much deeper.

My virtual audio advice guy agrees with me (Gemini) :

If you already have the investment in the Hideaway sub then definitely the Keyloc is the way to go. Sounds Good Stereo sells a kit that includes their in house fabricated jumper harness that keeps you from having to do an ounce of splicing into your Ford harness at the factory amp. It’s LITERALLY plug & play. The Keyloc even comes dialed in for the Rangers interior and requires zero programming or fiddling with when you use their kit.
I’d say it’s worth every penny and did wonders for the bass roll off.

Basic pics of my setup except that I’m running a dedicated Fosgate Punch 300.1 to a Hertz 10” shallow mount in the rear passenger tub. But here’s the parts that’ll interest your style of install. The gray harness at the amp is the jumper from SGS that comes in their kit. Plug & Play!

If you're stuck with hideaway (got it and not returnable) KEYLOC no choice yup.

Worth it to investigate a "real" sub setup if you can.
