We have rear air vents, they are in the floor. Grab handles were removed because of US regulations, locking fuel door was removed for safety and better designs. Sure if you want to argue that partial reason is cost savings that's fine but it is not THE REASON they were changed and it shouldn't be discussed that way. Is the major point. But the Thai built models have airbags in the pillars too... The Ranger has a 5star ANCAP rating which needs to have airbags pretty much all round. The grab handles don't seem to effect the airbags or crash safety rating at all?
Can't one of the auxiliary reasons be that they are building the truck to a price? Some things just not added to keep costs down? Sounds like a reason to me? Why not add it in then? What reason could they have to remove simple things like rear air vents and locking fuel doors. Also there's no conspiracy... Thai built models DO have rear air vents etc....
Folks just regurgitating whatever made up thing because they don't have some non-life altering feature is tiring.
