Wash washing my truck when I realized my fuel door doesn't lock on my Raptor. Does your fuel door lock?

I think it's designed so you can't siphon gas out and you can't poor liquid in without a special tip, so they probably figured there was no reason for it to lock.

Yes it is there are 2 flaps, the main one and one down farther that's why you need the funnel provided to put gas in it with jerry can. The nozzle is long enough on the pumps to open it.

I mean, if someone is going to try and steal fuel, its better it doesn't lock so they don't break it

Coming from a vehicle with a locking door and a security capless filler neck, I just preferred it. Doesn’t pop open when washing and drying 😎

And yet the fuel door locks on all Thai built Ranger models. Sounds like cost savings on the US built ones to me!

A few years ago I read on the F150 forum that thieves were drilling a hole in the fuel tank to steal fuel.
