Trying to find out through here if anyone has had luck finding a good system for getting dog into back seat. I have a medium sized senior dog. Ramp wasn’t a good option, to steep an angle if laid on seat, and with seat up it runs into the storage compartments. I am going to try steps but am afraid they will be to hard in his back. TIA!

I had the same problem with my dog. The ramp was also too steep. I found that a small set of foldable steps worked better. I placed them next to the back seat and helped guide my dog up. It took a few tries before he was comfortable. Another option is to lift the dog with a support sling under the belly. This puts less pressure on the back and makes it easier to get into the seat.

I appreciate the feedback. Those are exacting same options I was considering so you just backed me up! Thanks for taking the time!

My ramp didn’t work until I put the top on the door jam rather than on the seat. Putting it on the door jam made it less steep and she is still able to step up from the ramp onto the seat. It might be worth a try if you already have a ramp.
