It's good see that the human race still fails to read the owner's manual.......LOL!!

Reading the manual is like reading the assembly instructions on Ikea furniture.
It's there for when you need it.

when i can't figure something out, where is the owner's manual (and really, my wife asks where it is. i just stop using whatever i can't figure out, ha ha ha)?

I had a 2010 Explorer XLT with that funnel. There were recalls on the capless fuel system. I remember bringing it back a couple times to Ford and bitching about it.
At the time it was high tech. I wished it just had an "old school" gas cap!
