Sounds like you have too much thigh support. Have you tried pulling the seat closer so you have more bend in your knees to get the pressure off your thigh?

It could also be muscular. Maybe you have gluteal amnesia. Seriously. It's basically a weakening of the glutes from being sedentary (i.e. you work a desk job). Leads to all sorts of lower back and leg issues.
this is my issue.
and honestly probably OP’s

I'm glad someone posted this thread. I got my 2024 Lariat FX4 last August. I also noted discomfort when driving long distances. Once a week I head up to the mountains to go fly fishing and it's 2.5 hours up and 2.5 hours back. By the end of the day the last hour can be brutal. I have found that it has gotten better over time, but I am also open to practical suggestions to make it more comfortable to drive long distances. I am definitely not sedentary. People who haven't experienced this phenomena, because of their body type, would be better to not chime in with solutions. I don't say this in a mean way, only that you don't understand it until you experience it. I've had other cars that have been more and less comfortable to drive long distances, this Ranger has been particularly challenging. Let me also say that I love this truck! Solving this problem would be a huge blessing. That's my two cents. (Now if they could only fix the stupid "keep your hands on the wheel" alert, when I already have them on the wheel, everything would be perfect)

This is all great but why on my 2019 Ranger Lariat I could drive forever without any back or leg issues.
At first I thought I was the only owner with this issue. Turns out I am not.
Just seems sad that at truck that looks great drives great and cost so much has such shitty seats.
Anyway if Chevy is really gona come out with a 2026 El Camino, when they offer it I am gona special order one.

Ok, so I drove long distance yesterday, it was a little uncomfortable in the lumbar area. Tried playing around with the lumbar support. But my back is pretty shit from the army. Feels like the lumbar support should have a height adjustable option.

I am lucky enough that the seat issue doesnt bother me. I feel for you guys though and hope yall figure something out.

I had to do 400 miles yesterday for lunch with family. No pain for my wife or i and usually she is in pain on any long trips from a fall years ago that broke her tail bone

I'm also interested in how the seat jackers helped? On the website, it said that you could install them to raise the front or the back of the seat. Which did you choose and why?
Thanks

I looked at them. Doesn't that raise the front of the seat?
I just looked at the installation instructions and it only shows the jackers in the front.

so something i want to add in this-
because i think this is something soft tissue related for 90% of us.

if i do 3 sets of 10 deadlifts, not super heavy, just enough to work the hip hinge more- on the drive home- zero pain or discomfort at all. once the muscle has cooled off- i feel it again.
that tells me it’s not spine related.

but i will say- wouldn’t have killed them to make the cushion base wider like the lariat.

I just ordered the seat jackers. When I get them installed and test them with a long drive I'll report back. I found a youtube video that helped explain why they work. We'll see.

Installed them in the front to allow the seat to actually support under my thighs. May not be everyone’s fix but it worked for me

As someone with herniated discs and a generally bad back, I'll just state the obvious: it's possible that your back is in worse shape this year than last, which was worse than the year before that, etc. I used to be able to drive my old diesel benz forever without any back or leg issues, but now I might be in pain after an hour, or after sneezing, etc. The car didn't change; my back did.
