Anyone know the procedure for replacing the exterior mirror glass on the Raptor. My mirror on the drivers side has several scratches and I want to replace the glass.

I tried to polish it and made it worse.

Do these pop out of the mirror housing? I’ve not done one on a Ranger so I’m simply not aware. If anyone has access to the shop procedure or manual, I appreciate reference and illustration. Thank you for the assistance.???

Well after allot of research; I believe these simply pop out with pulling the outside top corner with a quick sharp pull. They’re heated and have a temp sensor on the outside edge. This applies to all next generation exterior mirrors.

I’ll know for sure when I get them. This time no polishing, just cleaning and sealing. Be careful when using any kind of abrasive cleaner. These are the only mirrors I’ve ever had problems with.

The quality of the mirror glass is not real high quality. They tend to scratch rather easily. Lesson learned.???

Resurrecting an old thread here… took delivery of my Ranger Raptor a couple of weeks ago at dusk and noticed the next day in the sun that the driver’s side mirror was significantly scratched. I asked my ceramic guy to try to polish the scratches out and this was the result. Upon researching a new replacement, found out the mirror glass is on national back order with no current estimate on availability. Is anyone aware of a suitable aftermarket mirror (glass only) that I could purchase until the OEM one comes in?

Yep… started in the corner and firmly and slowly pulled out on the mirror glass itself- it’s held in with plastic clips and will come right out. To reinstall, cover the new mirror surface with a clean microfiber and press firmly in the middle of the mirror glass… it will snap right in place.
