Yes and no for embarrassing. At least Ford has recalls and is fixing them. GM doesn't have stellar rating of even trying to fix things and when I owned my Ram it had about 8-9 recalls before I got rid of it and some of those recalls weren't fixed either.

Recalls don't phase me. It means they are fixing problems, however small. I bet you half the recalls in 2026 wouldn't have even been noticed or addressed in 1996. Besides, many recalls get fixed with a software upgrade while still in my driveway.

I'm glad Ford fixes issues. I don't have any problem with the recalls I've had on my Ranger. Recalls can scare people. I know a woman who bought a new Bronco and she got rid of it because all the recalls were scaring her.

I've had two recalls on my 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee. One for sparkplugs and the other for tire pressue software which required the Dealer to upgrade the software.
